Softball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends Southeast Bulloch's Winning Streak

Southeast Bulloch dropped down to 18-6 on Wednesday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins. They came up short against the South Effingham Mustangs, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Yellow Jackets have suffered since August 26, 2024.

As for South Effingham, they pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.1 runs.

For South Effingham's part, Alyssa Martin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Martin has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Danni Lynn, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Southeast Bulloch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Effingham, they will square off against Winder-Barrow at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
