Soccer Game Preview: Aliso Niguel vs. San Juan Hills

The Aliso Niguel Wolverines will head out to face off against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Aliso Niguel is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering San Clemente just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Tritons could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Wolverines happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, San Juan Hills didn't have quite enough to beat San Clemente on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Aliso Niguel's draw makes their record 6-3-2 this season. As for San Juan Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-1 record this season.

Aliso Niguel came up short against San Juan Hills in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Aliso Niguel avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
