Softball Recap: Hebron Christian Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hebron Christian can now relate to. They fell just short of the Wesleyan Wolves by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Kate Kennedy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 17 consecutive appearances.

Hebron Christian's loss dropped their record down to 30-3. As for Wesleyan, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-3.

Hebron Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-10 win against Prince Avenue Christian on the 1st. Hopefully Wesleyan paid attention to the Lions' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
