Lexington lost to Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Minutemen walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Rockets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Minutemen.
Braeden Barber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, Kayden Knight was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Cooper Miller was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.
Lexington's win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-12 record this season.
