Basketball Game Preview: Potter-Dix Coyotes vs. Sutherland Sailors

The Potter-Dix Coyotes and the Sutherland Sailors, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out on Friday.

Last Saturday, Potter-Dix came up short against Wallace and fell 32-25.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sutherland). They came out on top against Elba by a score of 53-45 last Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sailors.

Sutherland found their leader in sophomore Phoenix Brown, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least a third of the Sailors' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addisyn Gunderson, who posted six points.

Sutherland was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Sutherland's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Potter-Dix, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
