Softball Recap: Dunwoody Drops Highest Score of Season Against Arabia Mountain

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunwoody). They never let the Arabia Mountain Rams get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Anslie Worley made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Brooke Parkes was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kristina Conn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Dunwoody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dunwoody now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Arabia Mountain, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dunwoody will challenge rival Tri-Cities at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Arabia Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Chamblee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
