Volleyball Recap: Ashlyn Yount's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Homer-Center over Penns Valley Area

Homer-Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Penns Valley Area Rams.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11, 25-19.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashlyn Yount, who had 19 assists and four digs. Yount is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Emma-Lee Rouser was another key player, getting seven kills, six digs, two aces, and one block.

Homer-Center's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Penns Valley Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Homer-Center didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Portage on the 23rd. Penns Valley Area has also already played their next match (against Philipsburg-Osceola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
