Volleyball Recap: New Braunfels Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Hayden Jeffers and Jordynn Ash

New Braunfels lost against Reagan back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Unicorns fell just short of the Rattlers by a score of 3-2.

New Braunfels actually scored more points across those five sets (100-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 17-25, 15-25, 25-14, 15-11.

New Braunfels' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordynn Ash, who had 17 digs and four aces, and Hayden Jeffers, who had 15 digs and two aces. Jeffers has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 11 times she's played.

New Braunfels' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, New Braunfels will take on Boerne at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Unicorns their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Reagan, they will face off against McKinney on Thursday.
