Soccer Game Preview: Porterville vs. Mt. Whitney

The Porterville Panthers will take on the Mt. Whitney Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Porterville and ten for Mt. Whitney.

Porterville fell victim to El Diamante and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Miners by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Mt. Whitney's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Monache, falling 3-0.

Mt. Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-1. As for Porterville, they now have a losing record at 7-8-4.

Porterville took their victory against Mt. Whitney when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 6-0. Does Porterville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mt. Whitney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
