Baseball Recap: Academy of Richmond County's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Academy of Richmond County never let their opponents score on Friday. Everything went their way against the Howard Huskies as the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers made off with a 12-0 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Musketeers this season.

Henry Oliver was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Sam Barfield was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Academy of Richmond County's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Howard, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of Richmond County will face off against Toombs County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Howard, they will square off against Rutland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Rutland will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Howard surely won't give up without a fight.
