Volleyball Recap: North Cobb Beats Allatoona for Their Third Straight Victory

North Cobb had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Allatoona Buccaneers. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

North Cobb had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Hannah Nicholson had a dynamite game, getting 21 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight matches. Sarah Hamilton also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Despite the loss, Allatoona still got an impressive performance from Bri Mcveigh, who had 15 digs and two assists.

North Cobb's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Allatoona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Looking ahead, North Cobb will welcome West Forsyth at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Allatoona, they will venture away from home to challenge Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
