Make it nine blowout wins for the Waynesburg Central Raiders this season. They blew past Washington, posting a 51-23 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Waynesburg Central as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Waynesburg Central had a senior duo take command as Kaley Rohanna scored 16 points along with six assists and five steals and Josie Horne scored 14 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Horne has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Cowell, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Kaprice Johnson and Olivia Woods certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Johnson scored nine points along with seven rebounds, while Woods scored six points along with two steals. Woods hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Washington struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Waynesburg Central racked up 14 assists.
Waynesburg Central's win was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.71 points. As for Washington, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Waynesburg Central will head out on the road to challenge Charleroi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they will be playing at home against Brentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
