Soccer Game Preview: Perry vs. South Tama County

The Perry Bluejays will face off against the South Tama County Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Perry's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Perry is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Van Meter two weeks ago. The Bluejays took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that Perry have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, South Tama County kept a clean sheet against Benton on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bobcats 1-0. The result kept South Tama County happy, as they haven't lost a game since May 15th.

South Tama County's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-18-5. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-3.
