 The Harbor Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Scotts Valley, falling  54-15. Harbor was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  40-5.
  Lily Defelice was Harbor's leading scorer, having posted four points.
 Harbor has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost six of their last eight matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Scotts Valley, their win  ended a five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 5-11.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harbor won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Gilroy at 1:30  p.m.  on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in California (Gilroy is ranked 971st, while Harbor is ranked 973rd). As for Scotts Valley, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Santa Cruz at 6:00  p.m. Santa Cruz is coming into the  game hot, having won their last three games.
