Softball Recap: Riceville Comes Up Short

Riceville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-6 to the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors.

Riceville's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Calamus-Wheatland, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 14-14.

Riceville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 win against Maquoketa on the 28th. As for Calamus-Wheatland, they have also already played their next game, a 14-9 victory against Hudson on the 28th.
