Basketball Recap: Righetti Comes Up Short

Righetti extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 58-51 to the St. Bonaventure Seraphs. The Warriors lost against the Seraphs in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 91-55 score last time.

As for St. Bonaventure, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 63.5 points this season.

Adam Ayala had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 15 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Walter Moore, who earned six points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Righetti has already played their next matchup, a 65-42 loss against Oxnard on the 22nd. As for St. Bonaventure, they will face off against Muir at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
