Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Franklin's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Greenville came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Franklin, but Katie Boal wouldn't allow it. The Franklin Knights strolled past the Greenville Trojans with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 41-27 thanks in part to Boal, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 14 boards, and 12 blocks. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Franklin's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Stevens, who posted three points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Franklin is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.1 points per game. As for Greenville, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-4.

Franklin will head out to challenge Titusville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenville, they will face off against Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Laurel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
