Soccer Recap: Santa Barbara Takes a Loss

Santa Barbara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pacifica Tritons. Santa Barbara were not able to make up for their loss to Pacifica from their previous meeting back in January.

Santa Barbara's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-3. As for Pacifica, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2-1.

Santa Barbara and Pacifica will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Dons see the pitch they'll take on Oak Park at 11:30 a.m. on January 3, 2026. As for Pacifica, their break will end when they face Oxnard at 5:15 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
