Softball Recap: Toombs County Takes a Loss

Toombs County was the 8-4 winner over Pierce County when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs lost 10-2 to the Bears on Monday.

Toombs County's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Pierce County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Looking ahead, Toombs County is taking a road trip to square off against Swainsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pierce County, they will host Tattnall County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
