Softball Recap: Platte County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Oak Grove

Platte County kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 7-3 to the Oak Grove Panthers. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Panthers when the teams met back in August of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Platte County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ruskin at 4:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Oak Grove, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-4 win against Lafayette on the 29th.
