Softball Recap: Carlisle Picks Up 15th Straight Win on the Road

Carlisle came tearing into Monday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Winterset Huskies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in July of 2024.

Carlisle pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Winterset, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Huskies beat Carlisle by a score of 7-3 later that day.
