Soccer Game Preview: Savannah Arts Academy vs. Richmond Hill

The Savannah Arts Academy Panthers will head out to face off against the Richmond Hill Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Savannah Arts Academy's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Savannah Arts Academy is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against South Effingham on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Savannah Arts Academy have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Richmond Hill unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Benedictine, falling 4-1. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Richmond Hill couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Cooper Allen, who's now up to 20 this season.

Richmond Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Savannah Arts Academy couldn't quite get it done against Richmond Hill in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
