            The Bainbridge Bearcats will take on the Miller County Pirates at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
Last Monday, Bainbridge came up short against Colquitt County  and fell  9-6.
Meanwhile, Miller County waltzed into their match  on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Red Devils get on the board and left with  a   15-0  win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six  runs or more this season.
 Brayden Horn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Coronado was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  RBI (two).  Thomas Cook was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple.
 Miller County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  contests.
 Miller County pushed their record up to 18-5 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bainbridge, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-13.
