Baseball Game Preview: The Habersham School Patriots vs. Jenkins Warriors

The Habersham School Patriots will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Jenkins Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

The Habersham School is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell 11-7 to New Hampstead on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

G Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was T Shippy, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Jenkins scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Atkinson County. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson McKenzie was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Pedro Fabian was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
