Preview: Monte Vista Mustangs vs. Foothill Falcons
Monte Vista and Foothill are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Monte Vista Mustangs will be playing at home against the Foothill Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Monte Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 75-54 defeat at the hands of California. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Monte Vista has suffered against California since February 11, 2020.
The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Alyssa Rudd and Taylor Lim. Lim had a great game and scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, Rudd was balling out in the loss, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Foothill unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Dublin 53-47.
Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Foothill, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3.
Everything came up roses for Monte Vista against Foothill in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 63-30 win. Will Monte Vista repeat their success, or does Foothill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
