Football Game Preview: Milford Mill Academy Millers vs. Linganore Lancers + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Damon Ferguson Jr. and Bradly Matthews are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Milford Mill Academy Millers are taking a road trip to square off against the Linganore Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated (Milford Mill Academy has ten wins , while Linganore has 11 dating back to last season).

Milford Mill Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Edgewood by a score of 26-14. Those 26 points were actually the fewest the Millers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Mi'Cah Williams had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 28 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 154 yards on 15 of 22 attempts. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Williams' aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Amauri Patterson.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Milford Mill Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards in 15 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Linganore got themselves on the board against City College on Friday, but City College never followed suit. They breezed past the Black Knights to the tune of 43-0. Considering the Lancers have won nine contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Linganore's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Milford Mill Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.

Milford Mill Academy and Linganore were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in November of 2017, but Milford Mill Academy came up empty-handed after a 28-27 defeat. Can the Millers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
