Softball Recap: Clear Lake Comes Up Short

Clear Lake managed to slip by Waverly-Shell Rock the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions came up short against the Go-Hawks on Monday, falling 12-4. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Go-Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Clear Lake's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-8.

Clear Lake has already played their next contest (against Hampton-Dumont/CAL), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, they will challenge Mason City on Thursday.
