Top 20 most dominant Minnesota high school football programs of last decade

With a combined eight state titles to their credit, Eden Prairie and Caledonia rose to the top over the past 10 years.

Powered by state titles in 2013, 2014 and 2017, Eden Prairie is the most dominant high school football team from Minnesota over the last decade.

Based on our methodology, the Eagles amassed 282 points from 2013 to 2022 to edge Caledonia, which finished second with 228 points.

In addition to the three state championships, Eden Prairie reached the title game in 2016 and 2018. The Eagles finished ranked among the state top 25 in eight of the past 10 seasons, including grabbing the No. 1 spot in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2020.

Our methodology includes:

• Top 25 finishes in the MaxPreps state computer rankings (25 points awarded to the No. 1 team, 24 for No. 2 and so on).

• Top 25 finishes in the MaxPreps national computer rankings (50 points for No. 1, 49 for No. 2 and so on).



• State championships (20 points).

• State championship game appearances (10 points).
