Football Recap: Logan/Palco Piles Up the Points Against Deerfield

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Logan/Palco). They blew past the Deerfield Spartans 66-22 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what Logan/Palco needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Carson Knipp had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 153 yards and four TDs, while also picking up 35 receiving yards. Those 153 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Taden Gottschalk, who rushed for 53 yards and one touchdown.

Logan/Palco is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.3 points over those games. As for Deerfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

As of now, neither Logan/Palco nor Deerfield have any future games scheduled.
