Basketball Recap: Greenwood Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Greenwood can now relate to. They came up short against the Linville Hill Warriors on Saturday, falling 48-25. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-33 back in February.

When it comes to explaining why Greenwood lost, don't look at Bekah Brinser. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points and six rebounds.

With the loss, Greenwood broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.7 points on average over those games. As for Linville Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.
