Soccer Recap: Brookstone Takes a Loss

Brookstone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Strong Rock Christian Patriots. That's two games in a row now that Brookstone have lost by just one goal.

EJ Suragh and Philip Johnson scored all three of Brookstone's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Brookstone's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Strong Rock Christian, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Brookstone will head out to square off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Strong Rock Christian will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' match: after the Cougars face off against First Presbyterian Day, they'll take on Strong Rock Christian again at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
