            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Jackson, Mays was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Drew  a   12-0 shutout. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Tyson Williams made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. What's more,  he gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest he's  had  over his last five  matchups. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  TyReon Byner was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing five bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Andre Brown also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Mays' victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Drew,  they are  on  a  26-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
Mays will have a chance to go back-to-back against Drew: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:55  p.m.  on Monday.
