            The Iowa Colony Pioneers will square off against the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. One thing working in Iowa Colony's favor is that they have posted at least 31  points  every time they've taken the field this season.
Iowa Colony's defense heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Saturday. They blew past Lamar Consolidated, posting  a  57-0 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 25  points or more this season.

 Carson White was  his usual excellent self, throwing for 72 yards and three  TDs, while also rushing for 51 yards.  Jayden Warren was in the mix  too, providing Iowa Colony with two scores.
 Iowa Colony's run defense was locked in: Lamar Consolidated could only muster 1.2 yards per carry. The team can thank  Jordan Lockhart for the heroic effort on defense: he. Iowa Colony didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.6.
 Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 27 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Jeremy Garner Ii, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from  him.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Bend Marshall). They were the clear victors by  a  41-15 margin over Terry on Thursday. The  matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  28-0.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Fort Bend Marshall and  bumps their season record up to 4-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22  points in those games. As for Iowa Colony, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
 Iowa Colony beat Fort Bend Marshall 31-21  when the teams last played  back in November of 2024. Will the Pioneers repeat their success,  or do  the Buffalos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
