Basketball Game Preview: Gettysburg Warriors vs. Shippensburg Greyhounds

The Gettysburg Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Shippensburg Greyhounds at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shippensburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gettysburg, who comes in off a win.

Gettysburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Hanover to the tune of 63-32 on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Shippensburg suffered their closest loss since December 11, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of West Perry by a score of 44-41.

Shippensburg has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Gettysburg, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

Things could have been worse for Gettysburg, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-52 loss to Shippensburg in their previous meeting back in January. Can Gettysburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
