Soccer Recap: Nipomo Takes a Loss

Nipomo lost against Orcutt Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nipomo Titans came up short against the Orcutt Academy Spartans, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 880th, while the Spartans are ranked 282nd).

Nipomo dropped their record down to 0-11-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Orcutt Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nipomo will host Templeton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orcutt Academy, they will face off against Pioneer Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Orcutt Academy is facing Pioneer Valley at the right time seeing as Pioneer Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
