Soccer Game Preview: Duarte vs. Vista del Lago

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Duarte duke it out with the Vista del Lago at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Duarte is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Bellflower out 2-1.

Meanwhile, Vista del Lago had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Royals a 3-0 shutout. Considering the Ravens have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Duarte has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Vista del Lago, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
