Softball Recap: Statesboro Wins Going Away Against Bradwell Institute

Statesboro never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Bradwell Institute Tigers 12-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 on Tuesday.

Alexis Weaver and Kennedi Coty did most of the damage at the plate: Weaver went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one double, while Coty went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. With that strong performance, Coty is now averaging an impressive 3.5 RBI per game. Peyton Verbel was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Statesboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Statesboro and bumps their season record up to 6-15. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games.
