Baseball Recap: Berkeley Springs Comes Up Short

Berkeley Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the Petersburg Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-1 back in March.

Berkeley Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Moore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Berkeley Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-25. As for Petersburg, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-19.

Berkeley Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Petersburg, they will challenge South Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
