You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Camelback's strategy against Browne on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Spartans blew the Bruins out of the water with a 49-14 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.
Camelback got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Angel Neria out in front who threw for 230 yards and five TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards. That's the most passing touchdowns Neria has posted since back in October of 2024. Anthony Scott Jr. was another key rusher, gaining 152 total yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Camelback was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 240 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.

Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Frankie Hernandez, who rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards. Sameer Sabur also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.
Camelback's record now sits at 2-5. As for Browne, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.
