Softball Recap: Oologah Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Oologah had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Grove on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Ridgerunners with a sharp 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Oologah's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oologah will face off against Verdigris at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Grove, they will challenge Westville at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
