Basketball Game Preview: Shandon Outlaws vs. Villanova Prep Wildcats

The Shandon Outlaws will square off against the Villanova Prep Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Shandon's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Villanova Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Shandon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 50-21 win over Cuyama Valley. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Villanova Prep rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 53-43.

Shandon's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 points. As for Villanova Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
