Basketball Recap: Delta Beats Florin for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Delta had won three straight games and Ayren Rapp did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Delta Saints enjoyed a cozy 54-40 victory over the Florin Panthers thanks in part to Rapp, who went 10 of 25 on her way to 27 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Delta's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Velasquez, who posted three points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those five steals gave her a new career-high.

Delta's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Florin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Delta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-35 loss against Fortune Early College on the 19th. As for Florin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 39-24 defeat against Del Campo on the 19th.
