Soccer Game Preview: George Walton Academy vs. Walnut Grove

George Walton Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Riverside Military Academy on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Eagles who were credited with the victory. Riverside Military Academy got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to George Walton Academy's four.

Walnut Grove will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Apalachee, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Walnut Grove blew past Apalachee 5-2 on Tuesday. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

They hit Apalachee with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Stefan Jackson (3), Wyatt Hawkins, and Dawit Gidey.

Walnut Grove's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for George Walton Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

George Walton Academy might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Walnut Grove in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can George Walton Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
