Basketball Recap: Convent of the Sacred Heart Comes Up Short

Convent of the Sacred Heart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 70-26 loss at the hands of the San Domenico Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 946th, while the Panthers are ranked 328th).

Convent of the Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for San Domenico, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Convent of the Sacred Heart will host Urban at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Urban has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for San Domenico, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the San Domenico Panthers challenge the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lick-Wilmerding will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something San Domenico surely won't give up without a fight.
