Softball Game Preview: Winterset Huskies vs. Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays

The Winterset Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Winterset 3.3, Bondurant-Farrar 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Winterset's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Saturday's struggle, when North Polk hitters got past them. The Huskies came up short against the Comets on Saturday, falling 10-0. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Huskies, who have now lost three close ones in a row against the Comets.

Meanwhile, Bondurant-Farrar fell victim to Northwest and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-0. The Bluejays' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bondurant-Farrar's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Winterset, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Winterset came out on top in a nail-biter against Bondurant-Farrar in their previous matchup back in June of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bluejays turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
