Preview: New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva vs. Sibley East
On Friday Sibley East take on New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Sibley East had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They were given a punishing 0-48 defeat at the hands of St. Peter. Sibley East were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
Meanwhile, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They suffered a grim 7-35 defeat to Pipestone last Friday.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
