Softball Recap: Arnold Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chiles, Arnold was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Choctawhatchee Indians by a score of 10-7. The Marlins haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Laela Kern, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Caydence Corbitt was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Arnold was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are 8-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Arnold's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Choctawhatchee, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Arnold will be playing in front of their home fans against Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Choctawhatchee, they will venture away from home to face off against Pensacola at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.1 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of.
