Volleyball Recap: Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions vs. Boulder Creek Jaguars
Mountain Ridge lost against Boulder Creek two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The Mountain Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mountain Ridge took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-20, 18-25, 21-25, 25-21, 17-15.
Nate Roskelley paced Mountain Ridge's offense, picking up 25 kills. Roskelley got some help from Leyton Gafford and his 52 assists. Roskelley was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.
Mountain Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Boulder Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.
Mountain Ridge has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Casteel on the 30th. As for Boulder Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Sunnyslope on the 30th.
