Baseball Recap: Academy of Richmond County Comes Up Short

Academy of Richmond County fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Aquinas on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Fightin' Irish by a score of 11-10. The Musketeers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Henry Oliver was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Academy of Richmond County's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 4-10 when he doesn't). Ben Wright was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5.
