Football Recap: Skutt Catholic Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Skutt Catholic had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Norris Titans 49-3 on Friday. The SkyHawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-3.

Markus Nelson was nothing short of spectacular for Norris: he rushed for 176 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Nelson showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 63 yards. Another big playmaker for Norris was Shane Holen, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Coming up, Skutt Catholic will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Standing Bear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norris, they will take on Gretna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
